The Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Angels face off on Tuesday in an MLB showdown at Angel Stadium.
The A’s come into this game with a 56-67 record overall and they are coming off another terrible loss on Sunday. The pitching gave up 13 runs to the Mets and that was the difference as they were knocked off by nine runs. Oakland’s offense hasn’t been good enough and they are averaging only 3.53 runs per game which is 29th in the league. Seth Brown has hit 25 home runs and driven in 66 RBIs.
On the other side of this matchup is the Angels who sit with a 67-86 record overall and they found some success against the Minnesota Twins in the last series. On Sunday the offense scored 10 runs and that led to the easy victory. The Angels offense is averaging 3.85 runs per game which is 25th in the league. Mike Trout has hit 37 home runs and driven in 77 RBIs so far this season. In this game the Angels are going to need to get the bats going, and continue the hot bats from over the weekend.
