MLB Monday parlay at mega (+761) odds today 9/26 — Pickswise

We are getting the penultimate week of the 2022 Major League Baseball regular season underway with a miniscule 4-game slate on Monday. Still, there is enough to work with as we try to compile our second consecutive winning mega parlay on the heels of Sunday's success. The Atlanta Braves will pay a visit to the White House to celebrate their 2021 World Series title before facing the Washington Nationals, while the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles are also in action.

For this parlay we are going with two run-line picks and one underdog money-line pick. Let's break down each of the legs.

Cincinnati Reds ML over Pittsburgh Pirates (+115)

The Pirates finally won this past Saturday (snapped an 8-game losing streak) but they promptly lost again on Sunday (8-3 at home to the Cubs). Pittsburgh us 7-16 this month and 5-17 in its last 22 at home. The Reds have several statistical advantages heading into this one. Their lineup has better numbers per game in runs, hits, doubles, RBIs, strikeouts, total bases, batting average, slugging percentage, OBP and OPS. Sure it's not a high bar, but Cincinnati has been by far the better team since its horrendous 3-22 start and has certainly been superior of late. Chase Anderson has compiled a 2.16 ERA in 16.2 innings this month, whereas Pittsburgh's Roansy Contreras gave up 6 runs in 4.2 innings last Wednesday against the Yankees.

Atlanta Braves vs Washington Nationals Over 8.5 (-105)

Spencer Strider had been scheduled to be on the mound for Atlanta today, but it was announced last week that his start would be skipped for both rest and so that he could pitch against the Mets in the next series. Well, he won't be pitching against New York, either. Strider was placed on the injured list with an oblique strain a couple of days ago, so Bryce Elder is toeing the rubber on Monday. Elder has been decent in spot starts of late, but he sure isn't Strider – and several of his recent appearances have come against Miami. Washington will also be throwing one of its inexperienced youngsters in the form of Cory Abbot, who has not yet found the win column in 2022. In the Braves' last trip to the nation's capital, all 4 games finished with at least 9 runs and before that a trio of contests had 10 runs or more. Atlanta has crossed the plate 14 times over its past 2 games and its run-scoring barrage can be expected to continue.

Baltimore Orioles ML over Boston Red Sox (+105)
