The Houston Cougars (1-2) meet a familiar opponent when they host the Tulane Green Wave (3-0) on Friday, September 30, 2022 at John O’Quinn Field at TDECU Stadium in an AAC battle.

The Cougars squared off against the Rice Owls in their last outing, winning 34-27. Their last time out, the Green Wave lost 27-24 to the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Nathaniel Dell led the receiving charge against the Owls, catching seven passes for 134 yards and one touchdown. Michael Pratt’s performance for the Wave against the Golden Eagles included 19-of-29 passing for 247 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He rushed 16 times for 58 yards. In that matchup, Tyjae Spears had a 22-carry, 114-yard game (5.2 yards per attempt) with two touchdowns. He also added five receptions for 74 yards . Alex Bauman had 57 yards through the air after four cat ches (on four targets).

The Cougars are favored (-2.5) in a projected close matchup with the Green Wave. The total is set at 55 points.
