The Southampton Saints host the Everton Toffees on Oct. 1 for the 47th Premier League match between these two teams. Everton has 20 victories in the series to Southampton's 14, and there have been 12 draws.
The Saints won the last meeting, 2-0, at home in February, while the Toffees were a 3-1 winner at home in the first match last season in August.
Southampton's last match was a 1-0 loss at Aston Villa on Sept. 16. Jacob Ramsey's goal came in the 41st minute as he kicked in the rebound from a fantastic save by Saints' keeper Gavin Bazunu. The win gave Villa seven points to tie Southampton. The clubs also have the same goal differential, but the Saints have more goals and are spot better than Villa at 14th in the league table.
