The Bears are allowing only 17.0 points per game this season, and they've held all but one of their opponents to fewer than 20 points. Yet, the over is the right play in this game.
The Jaguars' defense has been terrible, allowing 28.6 points per game, the third-most in the league. Even in last week's win, they allowed 34 points. But the offense is starting to show some life, scoring 57 points over the last two weeks after failing to score more than 20 once during the first three games.
Bears QB Williams has proven to be capable of producing against bad defenses. Last week, he threw for 304 yards and two touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers. He should have another huge game on Sunday, but he's still so prone to mistakes that the Over is a safer play than for the Bears to cover the spread.

The spread opened at 1.5, and it has grown to at least 2 at every major sportsbook except for FanDuel. The Bears looked dominant last week, and Williams put together his best performance of the season.
Against one of the worst pass defenses in the league, it's not surprising that bettors are backing him and his team to succeed again. While I don't think the Bears are a guarantee by any means, the spread should continue to get larger as the week progresses. If you want to get in on the Jaguars, you can probably get this at the key number later in the week.
The total opened at 45, and it has dropped to 44.5 at every major sportsbook except for BetMGM despite 60% of wagers backing the over. The total at BetMGM is still 45, but the price of the Under is -125, so it's just a matter of time before it drop s.
The Jaguars have been a part of three consecutive games with at least 44 points. While the Bears' defense has been good, this could become a shootout just because the Jaguars are on the field. That said, I don't expect much movement from where this total is now.
