Auburn vs. Georgia Prediction, Picks & Odds, 10-5: Week 6iv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

Fresh off their first loss of the season, the Georgia Bulldogs will look to get back on track against the Auburn Tigers.

How the Bulldogs – who remain among the college football championship odds favorites – rebound from that devastating defeat is a key factor in determining the best Auburn vs. Georgia prediction.

While the Tigers don't pose a threat to the Bulldogs on the moneyline, they could cause enough trouble to cover the spread if the Bulldogs come out flat. Carson Beck threw for 439 yards in last week's loss.

While he finished with three touchdown passes, he also threw three interceptions. On the other side, quarterback Payton Thorne has thrown an interception in three consecutive games. Will his high turnover rate put the spread out of reach for the Tigers?

Along with the rest of our SEC predictions, here is our preview of Saturday's show down in Athens as part of our college football Week 6 predictions.

Auburn vs. Georgia against the spread prediction: Week 6

Auburn vs. Georgia opening odds:

  • Auburn: +24.5 (-115 via BetMGM)
  • Georgia: -24.5 (-105 via BetMGM)

Last week, the Bulldogs trailed 30-7 at halftime against the Alabama Crimson Tide. They stormed back to take a 34-33 lead with 2:31 remaining, only to give up a 75-yard touchdown on the next play. It was a heartbreaking loss that will provide added motivation on Saturday.

Beck has thrown for 1,119 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Before last week, he hadn't thrown a single interception.

The Bulldogs have the 21st-ranked passing offense in the country, and while the Tigers have the 50th-ranked pass defense, Auburn hasn't faced many good passing teams.

All three of the Tigers' losses have been by 10 or fewer points. Add in the fact that the Bulldogs only beat the Kentucky Wildcats 13-12 in their final game before facing the Crimson Tide, and you can see why the spread has dropped to 22.5 at our best sports betting apps after opening at 24.5.

However, the Bulldogs showed what they're capable of in the second half of last week's game. When this offense gets going, they can be unstoppable. And the defense is great, allowing 12 or fewer points in three games this season.

Payton Thorne will struggle for 60 minutes , as the Bulldogs allow fewer than 10 points while scoring more than 30. A winning $10 bet will profit $9.26.

Auburn vs. Georgia prop pick for Week 6

Our NEW college football player prop odds tool can help you find the best odds on any market across legal sportsbooks in your area!

The Bulldogs gave up 374 passing yards last week, yet they're still only allowing 210 yards through the air per game. In Week 1, they held Clemson's Cade Klubnik to 142 passing yards, who has thrown for 800 yards in his three games since.

Thorne has topped this number in three of his four games this season. Last week, he passed for 338 against the Oklahoma Sooners. However, the Bulldogs' defense is significantly better than the Sooners'.

Last season, Thorne threw for more than 181 yards in just three games. Offering this under at -106 feels like a mistake. The total is set at 187.5 at two of the four major sportsbooks. The best price for the under is -114.

You could consider making a play there, but I'm confident Thorne will struggle, so I'll take the best price for the lower number.
