For this parlay I am going with 2 favorites on the run line and 1 underdog on the money line. Let's break down each of the 3 legs.'

Atlanta Braves -1.5 over New York Mets (+160)'

The Mets are facing the Braves with a chance to clinch a postseason spot. What could possibly go wrong?!?! This franchise has a history of epic collapses, one of which came against none other than the Braves at the end of 2022 – also in the penultimate series of that season, in fact. In fairness, New York has been playing great baseball in recent weekends. However, it has generally been beating up on bad opponents. Going on the road to Atlanta is a whole different beast. The Braves have thoroughly underwhelmed this year largely because of injuries, but they have also played good baseball of late. Spencer Schwellenbach is taking the mound for the home team on Tuesday and he has been stellar as a rookie (3.61 ERA, 118 strikeouts and 22 walks in 109.2 innings). In this borderline playoff situation, there is no other choice but to back the Braves to win big.'

Colorado Rockies ML over St. Louis Cardinals (+105)'

Both the Rockies and Cardinals are wrapping up disappointing seasons. That is nothing new for the former, but it's not something the latter is used to. St. Louis is accustomed to making the playoffs, so this early elimination has to be especially demoralizing. It would not be surprising to see the Birds limp down the stretch in this final week, whereas Colorado may still put forth a decent effort. The Rockies are playing at home too, and it's easier to get up for “meaningless” games at home than it is on the road. Moreover, Ryan Feltner has been throwing darts for Colorado this month. In 3 September starts, the right-hander has posted a 1.96 ERA and his team is 3-0. Feltner toed the rubber at Coors Field last Tuesday and worked 6.2 innings of 1-run baseball against Arizona. The Rockies have good value as small underdogs in this one.
