Hawaii at New Mexico State – 9/24/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and New Mexico State Aggies face off on Saturday in a Week 4 college football showdown at Aggie Memorial Stadium. Both of these teams have struggled to start the season.

Hawaii comes into this game with a 1-3 record overall and the three games against FBS competition have been awful. In the last game against Duquesne, Hawaii scored 24 points, and that was enough to win by 10 points. Two games ago against Michigan, Hawaii gave up 56 points and that led to the 46-point defeat. Hawaii’s defense is averaging 45.5 points per game which is 130th in the league. In the last game, Joey Yellen completed 13 of his 20 passes for 86 yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception. Dior Scott caught seven of the passes for 53 yards in the game.

On the other side of this matchup is the New Mexico State Aggies who sit with an 0-4 record and they have gone 1-3 against the spread. In the last game against Wisconsin, New Mexico State gave up 66 points and that led to the 59-point defeat. New Mexico State is averaging only eight points per game which is 131st in college football. The defense is giving up 36.8 points per game which is 117th. Diego Pavia and Gavin Frakes both played under center in the last game, and they need a player to step up and take over that job.
