The Minnesota Golden Gophers and Michigan State Spartans face off on Saturday in a Week 4 college football showdown at Spartan Stadium. When these two teams faced off in 2017 it was Michigan State that secured the 30-27 victory.

Star wide receiver Chris Autman-Bell suffered a lower-body injury in the last game and he’s out for the rest of the season. 

On the other side of this matchup is Michigan State who sit with a 2-1 record overall but they are coming off a loss in their last game. Michigan State gave up 39 points to Washington and that led to the 11 point defeat. On the season, Michigan State is averaging 38.3 points while their defense is giving up 17.3 points per game. Under center for Michigan State is Payton Thorne and he completed 30 of his 42 passes for 323 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. Keon Coleman also had a big game finishing with nine catches for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
