North Texas at Memphis – 9/24/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The North Texas Mean Green and Memphis Tigers face off on Saturday in a Week 2 college football showdown at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. 

North Texas comes into this game with a 2-2 record overall but they have been very inconsistent this season. In the last game against UNLV, North Texas scored 27 points but the defense was awful giving up 58 points, and that led to the defeat. Under center for North Texas is Austin Aune and he completed 17 of his 29 passes for 305 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. North Texas is averaging 31.8 points per game while their defense is giving up 36.5 points per game. In this game, the Mean Green are going to need the defense to be a whole lot better. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Memphis Tigers who sit with a 2-1 record overall and they have looked good the last two games. Memphis opened up the season with a 49-23 loss against Mississippi State, but they have since knocked off the Navy Midshipmen and Arkansas State Red Wolves. In the last game Memphis scored 44 points and that was enough to win by 12 points. Under center for Memphis is Sean Henigan and he completed 19 of his 28 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Jevyon Ducker rushed 10 times for 76 yards and a touchdown.
