Backing a pitcher at Coors Field? You bet. Edward Cabrera will battle it out in Colorado against a Rockies team striking out at a top-five rate at home against right-handed pitching. Four of the last five RHP to throw in Coors Field topped at least six strikeouts except for Dylan Cease, who had five in the first three innings.
Cabrera is as erratic as it gets. He ranks in the 5th percentile in BB% but 72nd in K%. He’s been tested in his last three games against much superior opponents. The Diamondbacks, Phillies, and Padres all rank in the bottom half in K% against RHP since the all-star break, so getting to face off against the Rockies on Monday Night should be a nice boost for the hard-throwing righty.
