The week in Major League Baseball continues with a full 15-game slate on Tuesday. There are huge matchups between postseason contenders all over the place. It includes Diamondbacks vs Guardians, Padres vs Pirates, Brewers vs Braves, Astros vs Rangers, Red Sox vs Royals and Phillies vs Dodgers. Let’s dive into today’s MLB parlay picks, while you can also find out our MLB picks for the big matchups on Tuesday, August 5.
For this MLB parlay, I am going with 3 favorites on the run line. Let's break down each of the 3 legs.
Atlanta Braves'-1.5 over Milwaukee Brewers (+150)
Bryce Elder has actually been decent for Atlanta over his past 4 outings. Two of them have been quality starts and another saw him work 5.0 innings with a modest 3 runs allowed. The right-hander just faced Milwaukee last week and went 6.1 innings while surrendering only 1 run on 5 hits to go along with a 7-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. The Brewers lost the last 2 contests of their recent home series against the Braves and they have dropped 4 of their last 5 overall. Orlando Arcia is 2-for-5 lifetime with a homer off Colin Rea and Matt Olson is 1-for-4 with a dinger. Although Atlanta still isn't entirely healthy, its lineup remains among the most dangerous in the league and now a slugger in the form of 2021 World Series MVP Jorge Soler tops the batting order. Count on Elder getting more than enough run support.
