MLB Predictions & Player Props Today: Tuesday's Best Baseball Prop Bets

The reigning National League champions finally get one of their key offseason additions on the mound Tuesday. Eduardo Rodriguez's return has us heading to our best MLB betting sites in search of value.

When the Arizona Diamondbacks signed Rodriguez to a four-year, $80-million contract this offseason, they surely never imagined his debut would come in August.

However, following months on the injured list with a lingering shoulder issue, E-Rod is finally back on the mound. We're targeting his strikeouts prop at our best sports betting sites on Tuesday, as well as that of another southpaw.

With Paul Skenes somewhat stumbling (relative to his extremely high expectations) over the weekend, can Shota Imanaga make up any ground in the MLB Rookie of the Year odds race?

MLB player props for Tuesday

Best odds: +140 via ESPN BET | Implied probability: 41.67%

Rodriguez could be on somewhat of a pitch limit in his first start with his new team, but this is a low bar for him to clear at good plus-money odds.

Despite being on the shelf for the entire season thus far, Rodriguez is projected for 4.1 strikeouts against the Guardians. His Over 2.5 strikeouts was showing solid value earlier Tuesday morning, but it's gone far too short at this point, with the best odds being -205.

Therefore, we'll leave that number alone and go straight to the Over 3.5.

Pinnacle, which features one of the most respected trading teams in the sports betting industry, has yet to move to 3.5, but it prices its Over 2.5 at a whopping -308 after opening at -163.

Once it moves to 3.5, the rest of our best sports betting apps&nbsp ;will surely follow, and you'll likely be looking at odds far shorter than +140.

If not for Skenes, Imanaga would be right in the thick of the NL Rookie of the Year race with San Diego Padres outfielder Jackson Merrill. However, the two of them are hovering around +2000. Imanaga can help his case on Tuesday, though.

The left-hander is projected to rack up 5.92 punchouts against the Minnesota Twins. Based on that projection, we're getting nearly 19% positive expected value through these +120 odds at BetMGM. 

All of DraftKings, FanDuel, and bet365 offer competitive prices, while Caesars is much more aligned with Pinnacle, which prices the Over at -104 after opening at +116.

I'm loving the plus-money odds on each of Tuesday's bets, and a winning $10 wager on Imanaga would result in a $12 profit.
