Champions League qualification leg 2 kicks off on Wednesday night as Greek giants Olympiacos hosts Israeli champions Maccabi Haifa in Greece after both teams came out with a stalemate in the first leg.
Olympiacos took the lead early last week over in Israel before a 92nd minute strike from Dolev Haziza gave Maccabi Haifa a lifeline heading into Wednesday’s second leg.
After a dismal European campaign last season which saw the Israeli champions finish bottom of Europa Conference League Group E, Maccabi Haifa will be looking for much more success in Europe ahead of this year.
