Washington D.C. sports bettors are without any legally accessible mobile betting apps, at least for a short period in July.
FanDuel confirmed with a report that said it stopped accepting online bets Tuesday'as it awaits approval of the FY 2025 budget, which allows for the continuation of sports betting in the District.
As a result, D.C. sports bettors will be relegated to placing in-person sports bets until Mayor Muriel Bowser approves the budget. Bowser has until July 25 to sign the budget.
Once approved, FanDuel will resume online operations.
