Netherlands vs. England Odds, Picks & Predictions: Euro 2024 Semifinal, July 10iv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

Two nation's hopes are pinned on 90 minutes, potentially more, of what will probably be a nervy, highly intense, and cagey Euro 2024 semifinal featuring England and the Netherlands.

England haven't won a major tournament since lifting the World Cup in 1966, their only taste of ultimate glory. Still searching for their first European Championship, the Three Lions face the 1988 winners as we offer our Netherlands vs. England predictions.

England, the consensus favorites across our best sports betting sites to qualify for their second consecutive European Championships final, have the second-shortest Euro 2024 odds to secure the all-elusive Henri Delaunay Cup.

The Netherlands haven't made the final since their only tournament win in 1988. Wednesday's match occurs at BVB Stadion in Dortmund, Germany and starts at 3 p.m. ET (Fox).

Eight of the last nine matches between these nations were friendlies, with the previous meeting being the sole exception, a 2019 Nations League contest in which Holland won 3-1. England won only one of those nine.

Netherlands vs. England score prediction

Both of England's knockout matches went beyond 90 minutes, and I expect another stress-inducing extra time and possibly penalties. Despite England's perceived individual skill advantage, the Netherlands are also brimming wit h world-class talent, breakneck pace, one of the world's best rearguards and a ruthless attacker up front.

While both sides have kept two clean sheets, England weren't able to prevent Slovakia or Switzerland from bagging a goal. The Netherlands' Round of 16 clean sheet came against a Romanian side that lacked elite class and cutting edge in the final third.

This semifinal has all the makings of a chess game, with either team having to wait for a checkmate opportunity. The +425 odds offered by Betway will pay a profit of $42.50 on a $10 bet if the score is tied 1-1 at the end of 90 minutes.

Netherlands vs. England anytime goal scorer prediction

Everyone, including me, is waiting for Harry Kane to pounce onto the scene and create numerous Grade A scoring chances. The same can be said for Kylian Mbappe.

Unfortunately, the prospect of that happening is less likely than most of-age England fans getting through the match without consuming some sort of alcoholic beverage. Kane hasn't been at his sharpest, with concerns surfacing about a minor injury.

However, despite Kane's overall inadequate play, he still represents England's most likely goal scorer, even more so than Jude Bellingham. Kane has seven goals in England's last eight knockout-stage matches. He was kept silent against Switzerland but it only takes a moment for England's captain and most prolific goal scorer to make an indelible impact.

Kane has two of England&#39 ;s five goals at the tournament thus far. The calls for Gareth Southgate to drop Kane from the starting 11 are as outrageous as unrealistic. Kane has the chance to again prove why he's indispensable.

At +187, you'll receive a profit of $18.70 on a $10 bet if England's talisman bulges the twine.

Best odds: +187 via Betway | Implied probability: 34.84%

Netherlands vs. England best bet

These nations haven't met at a major tournament since England won 4-1 in the Euro 1996 group stage. That's a long time without seeing each other at least once in a highly competitive match. In a way, but to a lesser extent, England in recent tournaments have mirrored France's unparalleled ability to stay alive and advance despite mediocre, even subpar performances.

England's elite players have shown their timely a bility to save a nation's blushes. Exhibit A was Jude Bellingham in the Round of 16, while Exhibit B came off the boot of Bukayo Saka against Switzerland in the quarterfinal.

While Holland has been as impressive, bending but not breaking on several occasions, England's tournament savviness should make the difference.

At -130, Betway's odds will pay a profit of $7.69 on a $10 bet. It's a three-star pick due to the juiced-up odds and reduced profit potential.

Best odds: -130 via Betway | Implied probability: 56.52%
