MLB Player Props & Expert Picks: Saturday's Best Prop Betsiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

Saturday's full slate of Major League Baseball action features some of the sport's most intense rivalries, and we offer our top MLB prop picks and best bets for Saturday based on the best MLB odds.

Whether or not one is more partial to the American League or National League may determine the answer to the question of which is Major League Baseball's best rivalry: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox or St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs. Baseball fans are treated to both divisional matchups this weekend as nationally televised games, with the Cardinals-Cubs appearing on FS1 at 2:20 p.m. ET, followed by the Yankees-Red Sox from Fenway Park at 7:15 p.m. ET.

Elsewhere, the most high-profile interleague matchup is between the Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles, two teams with short World Series odds. Each team enters with a .652 winning percentage or better, and it could be a World Series preview.

To accompany our Yankees vs. Red Sox player prop predictions, here are our MLB player props and expert picks for Saturday.

Game info: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs | Moneyline: Cubs (-180 via bet365) | Total: 8 via bet365 | Start time: 2:20 p.m. ET

Over the last two seasons, Paul Goldschmidt ranks third among all hitters with a 187 wRC+ and a .441 wOBA and also has the second-highest BABIP (.411) against left-handed pitchers. Goldschmidt is not tormenting southpaws this season at nearly the rate of the last two, but he is still slashing a respectable .277/.365/.369 in that split, and entering Friday, he had driven in at least one run in three of the previous six games. His home run in the series-clinching win on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Pirates was the first served up by Mitch Keller since May 6, and just the seventh all season.

This is a three-star play, as Cubs southpaw Shota Imanaga has shown vulnerability of late, with a 5.87 ERA over his last three starts, compared to a 0.84 ERA through his first nine. Imanaga also has allowed a .345 slugging percentage to right-handed batters versus a .288 against lefties, so we are getting good value at three of our top sports betting sites for Goldschmidt to drive in a run.

Game info: Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers | Moneyline: Brewers (-130 via bet365) | Total: 9 via bet365 | Start time: 4:10 p.m. ET

After Wednesday's series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays, Milwaukee Brewers catcher Wison Contreras was on pace for a career-high in wRC+ and was also on pace to surpass 40 doubles and 20 home runs this year. And per ESPN's Buster Olney, much of Contreras' success was due to his improved plate discipline, as he was only swinging at 24.1% of pitches outside the zone, compared to a 30.2% rate three years ago.

Contreras has destroyed left-handed pitching over the last two seasons, as no player had a higher BABIP (.414), slugging (.628), or wRC+ (189) against southpaws from 2022-23. He has a 1.318 OPS in 11 career at-bats against Reds southpaw Andrew Abbott, and since two of his five hits have gon e for extra bases in that span, we are making this a confident four-star play.

Best odds: +110 via DraftKings, FanDuel

Game info: Texas Rangers vs. Seattle Mariners | Moneyline: Mariners (-130 via bet365) | Total: 6.5 via bet365 | Start time: 7:15 p.m. ET

The Seattle Mariners entered Thursday's game against the Chicago White Sox with the second-highest strikeout rate (26.1%) in the majors against left-handed pitchers, then proceeded to strike out 13 times against Garrett Crochet, which were the most strikeouts by a White Sox pitcher since Lance Lynn in June of last year.

Seattle is actually worse against right-handed pitching, striking out at an MLB-worst 27.7% rate in that split. Eovaldi's 9.2 K/9 rate to this point is on pace to be his best since 2021, and his career 9.7 K/9 rate against the Mariners is his highest against any AL opponent.

If the -148 odds at Caesars are too high for bettors, bet365 is offering +128 odds for Eovaldi to throw eight-plus strikeouts with its “Pitcher Strikeouts Milestones” prop, which is a better value than DraftKings' +120 odds for his alternate strikeouts line.

Game info: Kansas City Royals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers | Moneyline: Dodgers (-210 via bet365) | Total: 8 via bet365 | Start time: 9:10 p.m. ET

Yamamoto has decent odds to record a win despite the Dodgers being sizeable -210 moneyline favorites, as he opposed Kansas City Royals righty Seth Lugo, who has nine wins in 14 starts. However, Lugo has made consecutive starts against first-place teams (Yankees and Guardians), and has been lit up for nine earned runs over 13 combined innings. Despite those struggles, Lugo has still allowed just a .206 on-base percentage with runners in scoring position, which is the third-best among qualified pitchers, per Inside Edge. But given his latest struggles, the Dodgers should be able to provide Yamamoto with plenty of run support.

This is a three-star play, as Yamamoto is coming off his most brilliant performanc e in the majors, holding a Yankees lineup that leads the league runs, wOBA, and wRC+ to just two hits and seven strikeouts over seven scoreless innings at hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium.

Best odds: +125 via bet365
