Ohtani went 0-for-5 in the first game of the series, and the documented back and hamstring issues he is dealing with seem to have caught up with him. Entering the weekend, he was batting just .195 with three home runs and 10 RBI since May 16 while watching his average plummet 52 points.

With his nine-strikeout performance in his last start, Dodgers ace Tyler Glasnow became the first pitcher this season to record 100 strikeouts, and his 104 lead the league.
