Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season features a primetime clash between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. Though these fierce AFC North rivals would love nothing more than to shut the other out, the 38.5-point over/under for this matchup on FanDuel Sportsbook indicates there'll at least be some scoring going on.
With that in mind, here are the three best any time touchdown scorer bets to make for Steelers-Browns.
Any Time Touchdown Scorer Steelers vs Browns Week 3
3. Diontae Johnson, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (+230)
Diontae Johnson's recent success against the Browns could help him find paydirt on Thursday. The last time he faced this team in January, he scored his first career TD against Cleveland in five tries. He also posted at least 96 yards in the two outings previous to that, so it's c lear he knows how to carve up this secondary. The wideout has shown a clear rapport with new quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, leading the team with 22 targets over the first two games, 10 more than the next-closest wide receiver. He's the obvious No. 1 option for Trubisky, and that's a great spot to be in against a vulnerable Browns defense. With cornerback Greedy Williams sidelined, Cleveland has given up the eighth-most passing yards per game and ranks bottom-10 in Football Outsiders' pass-defense DVOA metric. This is a great chance for Johnson to post his first TD of the year.
2. Najee Harris, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers (+145)
Though Najee Harris is playing through a foot injury, it hasn 9;t slowed down his workload in the slightest. Harris handled 20 total touches (15 rushes plus 5 receptions) in Week 2 and racked up 89 yards from scrimmage, which should calm most fears about his production. He's already gotten on the board this year with one of the Steelers' two receiving TDs, and this could be the week he finds the endzone as a rusher. Harris scored rushing touchdowns in both games against the Browns last year while going off for a whopping 279 yards. Cleveland's defensive front has also taken a hit before this matchup with Jadeveon Clowney and Chase Winovich both being ruled out, and Myles Garrett earning the questionable tag. That should make Harris' life much easier on the ground.
1. Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns (-115)
Good things happen when the ball is in Nick Chubb's hands. He crossed the goaline three times against the New York Jets, scoring from 4 yards, 7 yards and 12 yards out — all on the ground. He's running through opposing defenses to begin the year, recording 228 yards in two contests (second highest in the league). The Browns will remain a run-heavy attack with Jacoby Brissett under center, putting Chubb in prime position to score on a weekly basis. With Cleveland expected to lead in this one as 4.5-point favorites, the game script should lead to a very busy night for Chubb.
