Giants vs. Diamondbacks Player Propa & Odds: Expert Picks for Monday, June 3
Giants vs. Diamondbacks Player Propa & Odds: Expert Picks for Monday, June 3iv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

Two struggling NL West teams meet on FS1 when the San Francisco Giants visit the Arizona Diamondbacks, and we're looking at our Giants vs. Diamondbacks player props based on the best MLB odds.

Your mileage varies on when it's the right time during an MLB season to start looking at the standings seriously. That day may never come for fans of teams that have already cratered.

But Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants fans are surely watching closely. The 27-32 Diamondbacks just rebounded against the New York Mets, but they dropped six of seven games before taking the final two contests in New York. Meanwhile, the Giants are 29-31 after losing four straight. Yet both squads sit within two games of a playoff spot amid the crowded NL wild-card race.

It won't be early much longer, and fringe teams like these two need to make a move now or risk fading away. The Giants and Diamondbacks clash on Monday in Arizona at Chase Field on FS1, with first pitch expected at 9:40 p.m. ET.

To complement our MLB player props and expert picks for Monday, here are our best Giants vs. Diamondbacks player props and MLB picks (odds via our

Giants vs. Diamondbacks expert picks

Nothing makes you feel alive quite like cheering for wayward heaved baseballs and generally hapless pitching.

Only two of our best sportsbooks offer a walks allowed pitching market, and we'll take value wherever it exists prior to a game without an announced starting pitcher yet from the Giants. It's an opportunity to pounce on nonetheless, as D iamondbacks starter Ryne Nelson has often been scattershot with his control in 2024.

Nelson has issued three walks in each of his last two starts, and he's also logged a four-walk outing. That's helped to contribute to a weighted on-base percentage allowed of .395 that sits in the bottom 4% of MLB, according to Baseball Savant. The Giants sit exactly in the middle of the pack in walks, but they boast two regulars with a walk percentage greater than 9% (Jorge Soler and Patrick Bailey).

A $10 wager at these +110 odds through bet365 would result in a $21 payout if it hits, with an implied probability of 47.62%, according to our odds converter.

Patrick Bailey has been steadily elevating his performance during what will be just his second season getting the bulk of the work behind the plate for San Francisco.

The switch-hitting catcher has experienced a sharp uptick in OPS, rising from .644 in 2023 to .819 now. His batting average has risen substantially as part of that too, shifting from way down at .233 in 2023 to .298. Perhaps most importantly for this wager, his hard-hit percentage has gone on a similar journey, jumping from 38.4% to 44%.

Some degree of regression could come eventually, as Bailey's expected batting average sits only a little above his real number at .305. However, venturing into the darkness of regression waters is an unpleasant dip that can wait for another day, as Bailey is set up well for success against Nelson.

He's posted an .845 OPS against right-handers, which is significantly better than Bailey's .711 when facing a southpaw. His frequent walking reflects an ability to make quality swing decisions, and best of all, he's recorded a .676 slugging percentage against four-seam fastballs, a pitch Nelson leans on heavily while throwing it a whopping 50.5% of the time.

A $10 bet at the +110 odds FanDuel is offering will lead to a $21 payout, with an implied win probability of 47.62%.
