Deportivo Alaves, Levante and Granada all took the drop down to the Segunda Division last season in Spanish La Liga, and new squads from Girona and Real Valladolid make up two of this year's favorites to go right back down.
Last season saw an incredibly tight battle being waged at the foot of the table with just one point separating four teams (Granada, Cadiz, Mallorca and Getafe) from the drop, with that all-important point eventually making the difference as Granada lost their top flight status on 38 points.
In terms of expected points, however, those four teams had a much greater spread, with the gap between 14th-place Cadiz and 19th-place Granada coming in at almost a 7.00x points gap.
