Mikolas has shined against the Padres, going 2-1 with a solid 2.59 ERA in four meetings.

The Cardinals have an eight-game lead ahead of the Brewers and can clinch the division this week. They have not lost a series all month and are 6-4 in their last ten games overall after recording a series win against the Reds last weekend. St. Louis has won four consecutive road series.
