Time:'1 p.m. ET
Venue:'Soldier Field- Chicago, IL
Coverage:'CBS
Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season includes a showdown between the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears. Despite a strong defensive performance in Week 2, the Texans couldn't get the job done in their 16-9 loss to the Denver Broncos. It was a solid showing for 2022 third overall pick Derek Stingley Jr., who had a game-high eight solo tackles along with a pair of broken-up passes in the loss.
After a weather-aided Week 1 win over the San Francisco 49ers, the Bears proved to be who we thought they were in their uneventful 27-10 defeat against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. No m atter what Chicago did, it couldn't get the ball rolling, ending the game with just 228 total offensive yards while only controlling the ball for 37.9% of the game.

Texans vs Bears Prediction & Pick
Both of these teams are projected to be among the NFL's worst this year, but I do like the Texans a bit more. Houston managed to slow down both the Broncos and Indianapolis Colts over the first two weeks, giving up only 18 points per game (tied for ninth-fewest in the NFL).
Meanwhile, the Bears' offense has been virtually non-existent. Chicago is averaging a league-worst 216 yards per game and without any impactful playmakers, beating a hungry team like Houston will be tough. At the end of the day, the Texans have been the more impressive team and I expect them to grab their first win of the year.
Final Score Prediction:'Texans: 24 | Bears: 10

Texans vs Bears Best Bet
As previously mentioned, t he Texans have looked like the better team with more heart this season. Lovie Smith has done a great job with Houston's defense and with the Bears offense looking downright putrid, I have no issues backing an outright Texans win.
