Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles – 9/19/22 NFL Picks and Prediction

The Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles face off on Monday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Vikings come into this game with a 1-0 record after beating the Green Bay Packers 23-7 in the first game of the season. Kevin O’Connell was hired this offseason to be the man in charge, and Kirk Cousins looks very comfortable with him. Kirk Cousins completed 23 of his 32 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Dalvin Cook rushed 20 times for 80 yards, and he is going to need to have a big game here. The real star of this offense though is Justin Jefferson and in the first game, he had nine catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns. On defense the Vikings made life tough on Aaron Rodgers, but in this game it’s going to be important that they contain Jalen Hurts.

On the other side of this matchup is the Eagles who faced off with the Lions in the first game and they were able to win 38-35. Under center for the Eagles is Jalen Hurts and he completed 18 of his 32 passes for 243 yards Hurts also rushed 17 times for 90 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles traded for A.J. Brown this offseason and he clearly has been a welcome addition. He caught 10 passes for 155 yards. The offense was quite impressive, but the defense wasn’t all that good, and that is going to need to be a lot better here.
