We have not one but Monday Night Football games in Week 2 of the NFL season. Shortly after the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills get things started, the Minnesota Vikings will go up against the Philadelphia Eagles. Both Minnesota and Philadelphia are 1-0 following respective season-opening victories, so each side is looking to remain undefeated.
With kickoff set for 8:30 pm ET on ABC, it’s time to take a look at the best touchdown scorer bets to be made for this NFC showdown Monday Night Football.
Minnesota Vikings touchdown scorer best bet: Justin Jefferson, WR (-120)
Perhaps no player was more impressive in Week 1 than Jefferson and the Vikings as a whole looked awesome during a 23-7 rout of the Packers. Expect the momentum to continue for Minnesota, at least on the offensive side of the ball. Jefferson hauled in 9 passes for 184 yards and 2 touchdowns and now he faces a Philadelphia defense that had little to no pass rush last year or in Week 1 of this season. The Eagles were second-to-last in sacks in 2021 and brought down Detroit QB Jared Goff just once last Sunday. Kirk Cousins can be expected to have plenty of success at the Eagles' expense while throwing the ball to both Jefferson and Adam Thielen. Jefferson's odds for another TD should be even higher into minus money.
