The Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers face off on Sunday in an MLB showdown at Comerica Park On Saturday it was the White Sox that were able to secure the 4-3 victory.
The White Sox sit with a 75-71 record overall and they have won two of their last three games. The only loss was on Friday and in that game, the pitching wasn’t terrible, but the offense only managed two runs. The White Sox’s pitching has been inconsistent this season and they are giving up 4.36 runs per game which is 19th in the league. Jose Abreu has hit 15 home runs and driven in 71 RBIs.
On the other side of this matchup is the Tigers who sit with a 55-90 record overall and the offense has been a big issue heading into this game. In each of the last six games the Tigers have failed to score three or more runs. The Tigers are averaging 3.29 runs per game which is 30th in the league. Javier Baez has hit 13 home runs and driven in 57 RBIs so far this season. In this game the Tigers need to find a way to get the offense going.
