CSU earned the No. 7 seed in the Mountain West bracket after climbing as high as No. 13 in the national polls during the regular season. The Rams beat San Jose State 72-62 in their first round game, and then defeated Nevada 85-78 in the quarterfinals. The teams split their two regular season matchups.'
