San Diego State at Utah – 9/17/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The San Diego State Aztecs and Utah Utes face off on Saturday in a week 3 college football showdown at Rice Eccles Stadium.

This might not be as dominant of San Diego State team as years past. In the first game of the season, San Diego State lost to Arizona 38-20 but they followed that up with a 38-7 victory over Idaho State. This is a team that is usually known for their defense but in the first game they really struggled to defend against Arizona. Under center for San Diego State is Braxton Burmeister and in the last game, he completed 15 of his 26 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown. On the outside, San Diego State needs to find a star player to step up that they can lean on.

On the other side of this matchup is the Utah Utes who sit with a 1-1 record overall. In the first game of the season, they lost to Florida 29-26 but they followed that up with a 73-7 record overall over Southern Utah. Unter center for Utah is Cameron Rising and he completed 17 of his 23 passes for 254 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Chris Curry rushed six times for 60 yards. The top wide receiver was Dalton Kincaid and he finished catching seven passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns. In the first game it was a late turnover that was the difference and Rising can’t be making those same types fo turnovers in this game.
