Bears vs. Packers Sunday night Week 2 NFL odds, betting trends: Aaron Rodgers has been money in 11 straight games following a loss

I've seen a lot of social media posts, headlines, etc., that Chicago Bears fans (like me) should be worried on Sunday night when the Bears visit the Green Bay Packers. Trust me, we don't expect any good results at Lambeau Field regardless, but the Packers enter off a loss in Week 1 to Minnesota, and they have not only won 11 straight regular-season games following a defeat but covered the spread in each – both the longest streaks in the league. Green Bay is -10 at Caesars Sportsbook for Sunday.

On Nov. 25, 2018, the Packers and Rodgers lost 24-17 in Minnesota. The next week, Green Bay was a 13.5-point home favorite against Arizona and was upset 20-17 in wintery conditions – Mason Crosby missed a 49-yard attempt as time expired. That's the last time the Packers didn't win or cover following a regular-season defeat. Rodgers has 26 touchdown passes and just one pick in that 11-0 streak. The ATS streak after a loss is the second-longest such run this century since the Colts were 13-0 SU/ATS after a loss from 2011-13.

Sunday night marks the 17th consecutive year that the Packers and Bears have squared off in a prime-time game. Rodgers is 22-5 in his regular-season career against Chicago, and in six Sunday night games in the NFL's oldest rivalry has 23 touchdowns and zero picks. The four-time MVP is 20-7 ATS in the series with six straight covers against the spread — tied for his longest ATS streak vs a single team in his career (also six in a row against the Rams from 2009-21).

It appears Rodgers will have No. 1 wideout Allen Lazard as an option on Sunday'after he missed Week 1 as Lazard has had back-to-back limited practices entering Friday. Pro Bowl left tackle David Bakhtiari missed the opening loss in Minnesota with a knee issue and is in doubt again. Green Bay has won 12 of the last 14 meetings against the Bears at Lambeau Field and outscored them 406-215.
