UC Santa Barbara lost their second straight and fourth in the last six games as they were dropped at home by CSU Northridge Saturday night. The Gauchos fell to 13-10 overall and stand tied for sixth in the Big West with a 6-7 mark in conference play. Against CSU Northridge, UC Santa Barbara took their only lead at 2-0: they gave up the next six points and never got even again. The Gauchos were down eight at the half and were down by as many as 17 in the contest as they couldn’t slow CSU Northridge. UC Santa Barbara shot 43.6% from the field, including eight of 27 from three-point range, and lost the rebounding battle 35-26 in the game. Ajay Mitchell paced the Gauchos with 29 points and seven assists in the loss.
