The Florida State Seminoles and Louisville Cardinals face off on Friday in an ACC college football week 3 showdown at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
Louisville comes into this game with a 1-1 record, but they haven’t looked all that impressive in either of the games. In the first game of the season Louisville lost to Syracuse 31-7 and in the last game against UCF they were able to win 20-14. Coming into the season there were a lot of expectations surrounding Malik Cunningham, but he hasn’t lived up to those. Even in the last win he only completed 14 of his 29 passes for 195 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions. On defense, Louisville struggled in the first game, but they looked much better in the last game. They gave up only 131 yards through the air, and the defense is going to need to be good.
On the other side of this matchup is Florida State and they have won their first two games of the season. The Seminoles opened up the season with a 47-7 win over Duquesne. And they followed that up with a 24-23 win over LSU. Jordan Travis has had some growing pains at Florida State, but he looks like he’s the real deal. Jordan Travis completed 20 of his 32 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns against LSU. Ontario Wilson had a big game finishing with seven catches for 102 yards.
