The UMass Minutemen have now won two straight games and three of their last four following a tight 66-65 with over George Mason at home on Saturday. The Minutemen improved to 14-7 with the win and still hold NCAA Tournament hopes but have little room for error playing in the A-10. George Mason dramatically tied the game with time running out but then fouled Rashool Diggins with less than a second to play allowing the Minutemen to pick up the win. Diggins finished with 14 points including four 3-point field goals while Josh Cohen led the way with 17 points in the crucial A-10 win.

UMass will need to finish strong and certainly push past 20 wins on the season to hold out hope for an NCAA at-large bid should they fail to win the A-10 tournament. They come into this game with the top scoring offense in the A-10. They are sixth in the conference in field goal shooting but last in 3-point shooting. They are also last in the A-10 in 3-point field goals made per game. UMass also has the top-rated scoring defense in the conference. They are just 8th in field goal defense and 10th in 3-point defense thus far. On the glass, the Minutemen are second in total rebounds per game this season. They are also first in turnovers per game this season in the A-10.
