Brooklyn was in action at home Wednesday night in their previous contest, losing 136-120 and failing to cover the line as a 3.5-point underdog. Philadelphia was on the road Thursday night as they took on the Jazz in their previous game, earning a 127-124 win outright as a 4.5-point underdog. Brooklyn saw their two-game win streak snapped and lost for the fourth time in six games as they were taken down by the Suns at home Wednesday night. The Nets dropped to 19-28 overall on the season and stand fourth in the Atlantic Division, 17.5 games behind the Celtics for the top spot. They were 11th in the Eastern Conference standings entering Friday, 7.5 games behind the Pacers for the final guaranteed playoff spot and one game behind the Hawks for the final spot in the play-in tournament. Against Phoenix, Brooklyn was even after the opening quarter, trailed by three after the opening quarter and was even with 7:31 to play in the third quarter. The Nets fell apart from there, giving up a 24-6 run that left them down 99-81 with 2:24 remaining in the third quarter and they failed to get closer than 10 from there. Brooklyn shot 50% from the field, including 16 of 39 from three-point range, but was torched by allowing Phoenix to shoot 62% in the contest. Cam Thomas led the Nets with 25 points in the loss.

The Nets are 6th in the league in three-point field goals per game as they drain 13.8 triples per game while they stand 16th in three-point field goal percentage by hitting 36.5% from beyond the arc.

Sharpe (knee) last played on January 23 and is out indefinitely. Finney-Smith (ankle) missed the last two games while Simmons (knee) missed Wednesday’s contest. Both players are questionable so watch for updates regarding their status for this contest.
