The once mighty Wichita State Shockers are having a tough season, especially in conference play. It does not seem all that long ago when the Shockers made the Final Four in 2013, but they are far from that level of success today. They currently sit at 1-7 in league play, tied with Temple for last place. The Shockers will need to win the AAC Tournament for a shot to get into the Big Dance. In their last game, they were led by guard Colby Rogers with 13 points in the loss to Tulsa.

Rogers leads the team in scoring as a 6'4 junior guard with 15.2 PPG. He is also the top outside shooter on the team with 56 made threes on 38.6% shooting from distance. Rogers recently put up 18 in their tough loss at Florida Atlantic. Xavier Bell is another scoring guard, the 6'2 junior adds 11.8 PPG, but has only reached double figures in two of his last five games. Harlond Beverly is their top playmaker on the team, the 6'5 junior guard leads the team in assists with 3.5 per game while adding 10.6 PPG. Kenny Pohto is their top interior player, the 6'10, 2-45 pound junior out of Sweden is averaging 10.3 PPG and 6.4 RPG on the interior.

Wichita State is currently ranked 160th overall according to KenPom. They rank 203rd in offensive efficiency and 148th in defensive efficiency. The Shockers play fast on offense, they rank 85th in the nation in tempo out of 362 Division I teams. The AAC is currently projected to get thr ee teams into the NCAA Tournament according to Bracketology, but Wichita would not get a bid.
