The Rutgers Scarlet Knights dropped their third straight game on Wednesday night to Penn State at home, 61-46. The Scarlet Knights offense deserted them against the underdog Nittany Lions. Rutgers finished the night just 1-of-17 from 3-point range, shot just 50 percent from the free throw line in 22 attempts, and committed 20 turnovers while scoring a season-low 46 points. Gavin Griffiths led the way with just 11 points while Jamichael Davis chipped in with 10 points in the loss.

Rutgers hopes to rediscover its offense in this matchup with the Wolverines. The Scarlet Knights don't have a prolific offense to begin with so they can't afford the turnover frenzy they suffered on Wednesday night. The Scarlet Knights are last in the Big Ten in scoring offense this season. They are also last in field goal shooting percentage and last in 3-point shooting. They are next to last in the Big Ten in 3-point field goals per game. The Rutgers' defense, however, is one of the best in the Big Ten. The Scarlet Knights are third in the conference in scoring defense. They are second in field goal defense and third in 3-point defense. They have been strong on the glass as well, ranking third in total rebounds per game in the Big Ten. The Scarlet Knights are fourth in turnover margin this season.
