On Tuesday night, the Golden Eagles won their fifth straight game and improved to 7-3 in the Big East with an 85-80 win over Villanova on the road. The Golden Eagles were led by guard Tyler Kolek and his career-high 32 points to go along with eight assists. Stevie Mitchell added 12 points as the shorthanded Golden Eagles picked up a critical road victory. Starting guard Kam Jones missed the game with an ankle injury.
