The Tulane Green Wave (2-0) out of the American Athletic Conference travel to Kansas State to take on the Wildcats (2-0) out of the Big 12 on Saturday afternoon. It was a complete effort for the Tulane Green Wave last Saturday as they cruised to a 52-0 home win over Alcorn State. Offensively, the Green Wave had 558 total yards for the game while the defense held Alcorn State to just 109 yards of total offense in earning the program's first shutout since 1997. The Green Wave's offense was well balanced with nearly 400 yards passing and 159 yards rushing, including four touchdowns on the ground.

Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt went 17-of-21 for a career-best 318 yards including three touchdowns. Backup quarterback Justin Ibieta also saw some playing time and completed 7-of-9 for 72 yards and ran in one score. Wide receivers Shae Wyatt and Jha'Quan Jackson combined for nine catches for 191 yards with each collecting a touchdown grab. Dea Dea McDoyale added three catches for 47 yards and also rushed in for 16 yards for his first career touchdown. Running back Iverson Celestine led the ground attack with 43 yards on 11 carries.

Tulane has now allowed just 10 points in two weeks including Saturday's shutout win. They have allowed an average of just 115 yards of total offense in two games thus far. Safety Larry Brooks has been a standout thus far including six tackles against Alcorn State. The Green Wave defense has four interceptions on the season by four different defensive backs. They also have four sacks on the season and 11 tackles for loss thus far. The third quarter has been the most dominant for Tulsa thus far, outscoring their opponents 35-0 in the 3rd quarter this season.
