On Jan. 13, Northeastern beat Towson by eight and then proceeded to lose three of their next four games, including their last two at home to UNCW (77-54) last Thursday and to William & Mary (72-68) on Saturday. The loss to a 320 KenPom William & Mary was a puzzling one for the Huskies, who are .500 in the CAA right now at 4-4. In their loss to the Tribe, grad student Chris Doherty had a career-high of 27 points and grabbed 13 boards while going 9-of-10 from the line. But the Huskies struggled defensively, allowing the Tribe to shoot 55% in the second half and 48% for the game including 10-of-25 (40%) from long range. Meanwhile, Northeastern shot just 4-of-19 from beyond the arc (21.1%) and 39.3% from the field.

The Huskies hope to have a healthy Luis Sakota for this game. The Harvard transfer, who scored 18 points in the first game against Towson, had just nine combined points over his last three games and is listed as questionable with an undisclosed injury after missing the William & Mary game. He's the second-leading scorer at 10 points per game, while Doherty leads the Huskies with 13.5 points and 6.9 rebounds with 2.6 assists on 53.1% shooting. Overall, the Huskies are averaging 70 points per game on 46.2% shooting and 30.4% from long range. They allow 73 points per game on 47.9% shooting (351st) and 37.8% from long range (353rd). Northeastern ranks 86th in rebound margin at +3.9.
