Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions: Picks & Odds for Lions vs. 49ers
Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions: Picks & Odds for Lions vs. 49ersiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

The top-seeded San Francisco 49ers host the NFC North Champion Detroit Lions in Sunday's NFC Championship, and we're making our best anytime touchdown scorer predictions with eyes on the best NFL odds.

Our anytime touchdown scorer predictions are up 14.77 units for the 2023-24 NFL season ahead of Championship Weekend.

The Divisional Round began on a positive note with three successful predictions by Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely (+200), San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (+145), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (+105). However, our luck took a turn when we were overly ambitious in targeting Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justin Watson (+550) in the final game of the weekend.

We'll look to scale things back in Sunday's NFC Championship when the Detroit Lions visit the 49ers, who remain the consensus favorites by the latest Super Bowl odds. We're also making our best Chiefs vs. Ravens anytime touchdown scorer predictions for the AFC Championship.

To accompany our Lions vs. 49ers prediction and Lions vs. 49ers NFL player props, here are our anytime touchdown scorer predictions for the NFC Championship (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Anytime touchdown scorer predictions: NFC Championship

Best odds: +170 via FanDuel

Lions running back David Montgomery played 56% of the snaps compared to teammate Jahmyr Gibbs' 36% in last week's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He turned those snaps into 10 carries for 33 yards and three receptions on four targets f or another 14 yards. However, he had a goal-line touchdown opportunity taken away by little-used backup Craig Reynolds.

That snapped a streak of four straight games with a touchdown for Montgomery, his second such streak of the season. That bodes well against a 49ers defense that struggles against short-yardage runs, according to ESPN's Mina Kimes.

Montgomery is projected for 0.4 touchdowns on Sunday. Our odds converter turns that 40% implied probability into odds of +150 for a recommended bet, and while several of our best NFL prop betting sites have offerings below that number, FanDuel stands alone with an outlier +170 ticket bettors should be looking to attack.

Best odds: +125 via Caesars

Samuel hasn't played a full game since Week 17 but he's been cleared for the NFC Championship after battling a shoulder injury. He caught five of six targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in that last complete game against the Washington Commanders.

His return comes against a Lions team that has allowed 25 touchdowns to opposing receivers through 19 games – more than all but two other teams. Three of those touchdowns allowed by the Lions have been in the playoffs, when they've allowed wide receivers to catch 34 of 51 targets for 525 yards.

Samuel is projected for 0.4 touchdowns on Sunday. That implied probability equates to odds of +150 for a recommended play, but we'll pay a little extra to secure this market-best price for Samuel to find the end zone. BetRivers is offering odds as low as -113 after Samuel was cleared to play.
