The Utah Utes (14-6, 10-10-0 ATS) were crushed by Washington State on Wednesday, 79-57. That dropped Utah to 5-4 in the conference and they are 1-4 on the road (1-4-0 ATS). Utah is 30th in the KenPom rankings and one place higher according to Bart Torvik. 

Utah trailed by just three at the half but were blown out following the break. The Utes shot a little better in the second half (40%) but took just 25 shots while Washington State hit 60.7% of their attempts. A 4-22 evening from three-point range and 3-7 from the free-throw line doomed this club. It was a surprising performance, as the Utes are 55th in field-goal percentage (47.6%) and 43rd in three-point shooting (36.7%).

Branden Carlson had 20 points off 9-17 shooting. Carlson leads the team at 17.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest. It is 30th in points per 100 possessions (117.6) and 54th in points allowed per 100 possessions (100.2).
