The Northern Iowa Panthers are heading to The Knapp Center on Saturday evening to take on the Drake Bulldogs in Missouri Valley Conference action. The Panthers (12-8, 6-3 MVC) are on a five-game winning streak after a 70-63 home win over the Evansville Purple Aces on Tuesday. The Bulldogs (16-4, 7-2) are looking to bounce back after an 83-80 double-overtime road loss on Wednesday to the Missouri State Bears. 



The Northern Iowa Panthers are playing well lately and are coming off a 70-63 home win against the Evansville Purple Aces and it helps scoring 42 points in the second half. The Panthers had a decent shooting night as the team finished 22-of-53 (41.5%) from the floor, 7-of-23 (30.4%) from the three-point line and 23 free-throw attempts. Junior guard Tytan Anderson played well as in 30 minutes he recorded 15 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals. The defense did an okay job as the Purple Aces had a 44.6/31.8/54.5 shooting split against the Panthers. 

The Northern Iowa Panthers have been right smack in the middle of the nation in scoring as they are 176th in the nation with 74.6 points per game. The defense has been slightly better as they are giving up 70.5 points per game, which is 145th in college basketball.
