The Vegas Golden Knights face the New York Rangers with both teams having great seasons. The Golden Knights have a 28-14-6 record which is the second-best in the Pacific Division. The Rangers have a 29-15-3 record and are in first place in the Metropolitan Division but have only won three of their last 10 games. Both teams are looking to remain near the top of their divisions and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Golden Knights are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.17 goals per game. Mark Stone and Jonathan Marchessault have scored 37 goals and 49 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Ivan Barbashev, Chandler Stephenson, and Nicolas Roy have combined for 29 goals and 46 assists while defensemen Alex Pietrangelo and Brayden McNabb have added four goals and 33 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has carried them, allowing only 2.71 goals per game with only 12 goals in the last five games. Brayden McNabb and Alex Pietrangelo have combined for 5.7 defensive point shares and 236 blocked shots while Alec Martinez and Kaedan Korczak have combined for 3.2 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Logan Thompson has been great with a .907 save percentage and a 2.72 goals-against average on 853 shots with 3.4 goals saved above average.
