The two teams split the season series for the season after the Tigers had defeated Texas A&M on the road two weeks earlier. LSU looked to be on its way to a season sweep of the Aggies while holding the lead with under seven minutes to play. Instead, the Aggies closed strong and rolled to a payback win over LSU. Jordan Wright led the Tigers with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds while adding six assists. Jalen Cook at 12 points and Mike Williams III chipped with with 11 in a losing effort.
