The St. Louis Blues face the Calgary Flames with both teams looking to improve on rough seasons. The Blues have a 22-20-2 record and with only four wins in their last 10 games, they have fallen to the bottom of the Central Division. The Flames have a 21-20-5 record and with two losses in a row, they have fallen into fifth place in the Pacific Division. Both teams are looking to improve in the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Blues are having a rough season with their offense letting them down, scoring only 2.80 goals per game. Robert Thomas, Pavel Buchnevich, and Jordan Kyrou have scored 41 goals and 71 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only seven skaters have nine goals or more and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Blues down, allowing 3.16 goals per game including 13 goals in the last four games. Colton Parayko and Nick Leddy have combined for 5.0 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. The bright spot is the play of goaltender Jordan Binnington who has a .906 save percentage and a 2.98 goals-against average on 959 shots with 2.6 goals saved above average.
