A pair of division leaders take to the ice in search of a victory in an interconference clash up in Beantown. The Winnipeg Jets are on the road as they make the long trek to take on the Boston Bruins Monday night. Winnipeg comes in off a 2-1 overtime win on the road over Ottawa in their previous contest Saturday afternoon. Boston rolled to a 9-4 home victory over Montreal in their previous game Saturday night. In the last 10 meetings between the teams, the Bruins own a 6-2-2 advantage though it was the Jets picking up a 5-1 victory at home in the first meeting earlier this season on December 22, 2023.

Winnipeg won for the 10th time in their last 11 games as they dropped Ottawa in overtime in their previous contest Saturday afternoon. The Jets enter this game 30-10-4 and entered Sunday holding the top spot in the Central Division, by one point over the Avalanche. Winnipeg enters this one 12th in the league in goals for as they average 3.30 goals a night. The Jets are 1st in goals against as they allow 2.25 goals per contest. Winnipeg is 23rd on the power play by cashing in on 16.7% of the chances with the man advantage this season. The Jets are 25th in the league in penalty killing as they successfully navigate 77% of their shorthanded situations.

Against Ottawa, it took overtime but the Jets came up with the road victory to keep their momentum rolling along. Winnipeg was outshot 7-4 in the opening period of play with neither side lighting the lamp, keeping the game scoreless after 20 minutes of play. The second period saw the Jets outshot by a 16-9 margin but they tallied the only goal of the period to take a 1-0 lead at the second intermission. Mason Appleton opened the scoring with his eighth goal of the season at 14:35 off assists from Nino Neiderreiter and Dylan Samberg. In the third period, the Jets held a 12-11 edge in shots on goal but gave up the lone goal of the stanza to even things up at the end of regulation. During overtime, Winnipeg held a 4-1 advantage in shots on goal and scored the winning goal to skate away with the victory. Nikolaj Ehlers tallied his 16th goal of the year at 4:14 off assists from Neal Pionk and Vladislav Namestnikov. Connor Hellebuyck made 34 saves for th e Jets, who were outshot 35-29, in the loss. He is slated to be between the pipes again for this contest.
