The Georgetown Hoyas are searching for their second Big East win. The lone conference win occurred earlier this month in a 68-65 home win against a weak DePaul squad. They have since lost two straight games. Georgetown nearly earned an upset win in a 74-70 home loss to Seton Hall last week and were huge 21-point dogs in an 80-67 road loss to Uconn on Sunday. The Hoyas have covered the spread in two of their last five games.

Jayden Epps scored 30 points against Seton Hall and 16 points on Sunday. The sophomore guard has reached 20 points on five occasions and has delivered an average of 18 PPG. Dontrez Syles continues to have issues, shooting below 43% in three straight bouts. The junior guard has scored double digits in one of his last four games and is averaging 13.5 PPG and 5.7 RPG. Jay Heath has shot below 40% in four of his last five bouts. The senior guard has reported an average of 8.6 PPG on 35% shooting.

The Hoyas are ranked 173rd in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and are 1-4 on the road including losses against Butler and Marquette. Georgetown is scoring an average of 71.9 points, marking them 252nd. The defense continues to be exploited. They have allowed at least 74 points in four of their last five games and are conceding an average of 72.7 points, placing them 215th.
