The New York Rangers defeated the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday, 5-2, earning the victory in both contests of the two-game homestand. Now the club heads to the road for a four-game trip. New York has lost their last three games on the road and is 13-7-2 way from Madison Square Garden.

Igor Shesterkin was impressive in the victory, stopping 29 of the 31 shots he faced. Shesterkin (18-10-0, 2.80, .904) has combined with Jonathan Quick (9-3-2, 2.49, .912) to form one of the best goaltending tandems in the NHL, ninth overall with a 2.81 GAA. They have not been as formidable on the road lately, however, allowing 12 total goals over their last three games. However, the road GAA is 2.68 this season.

While Shesterkin was shutting down the Kraken, the offense was handling business, scoring two goals in each of the first two periods and adding one more in the third. Blake Wheeler led the way with two goals and Artemi Panarin had an assist, giving him five points in his last five games and 60 points overall. The Rangers are 17th in goals per game on the road (3.14).
