The Rays went 1 for 8 with runners in scoring position in the opening win, but Randy Arozarena led the way with two RBI, improving his team lead to 78. Jeffrey Springs tossed six shut out innings and got the win. In the second game of the double header, the Rays reliever Colin Poche took the loss, allowing four runs in 0.1 innings.
Drew Rasmussen (10-4, 2.57 ERA) will start on Wednesday. He is 4-3 with a 3.22 ERA on the road. He is 0-1 with a 1.65 ERA in three starts against the Blue Jays this season.
