The offense has stepped up but the defense has carried them, allowing only 2.51 goals per game. Drew Doughty and Michael Anderson have combined for 5.6 defensive point shares and 144 blocked shots while Matt Roy and Vladislav Gavrikov have combined for 4.4 defensive point shares to give the Kings two great defensive pairings. In addition, goaltender Cam Talbot has been great with a .918 save percentage and a 2.34 goals-against average on 820 shots with 12.4 goals saved above average.
