The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.29 goals per game with 17 goals in the last four games. Noah Dobson and Alexander Romanov have combined for 5.8 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. The bright spot has been the play of goaltender Ilya Sorokin who has a .909 save percentage and a 3.15 goals-against average on 1033 shots with 6.1 goals saved above average.
